DK2: Abyssal
Abyssal is a total-conversion mod for the 1999 strategy classic Dungeon Keeper 2, taking the game far beyond its original limits with new terrain, rooms, creatures, more players, a new campaign map and a new 3D map editor. Hadrian Ra designed it and engineered it by reverse-engineering the original game, a demanding mix of game design and low-level technical work. Community-backed and in development, with a live website.

About
Abyssal is a total conversion modification for Dungeon Keeper 2, overhauling the classical campaign and introducing a multitude of features such as 15 simultaneous keepers on one map, new creature skins and models, a suite of new terrain types, one additional room, an advanced 3D editor, 8-keeper multiplayer support and much more.
It is a semi-crowdfunded project, but more importantly an exercise in constrained game development to avoid feature bloat that is known to have killed many a project. It is already fully functional; however, the main campaign as well as some enemy A.I. logic remains to be polished.
